PLOT

Few days back I got an opportunity to watch the movie “Meri Pyaari Bindu.” Bindu Shankarnaryanan and Abhimanyu Roy have been best friends since their childhood. To his mother's dismay, Abhimanyu has loved Bindu from the beginning. He is content to remain merely friends with Bindu and never expresses his true feelings to her. Bindu's mother perishes in an accident one day. Bindu, who is devastated, accuses her father of being the drunk driver. She is forced to leave college and move to Melbourne due to her mounting hatred toward her father. After graduating from college, Abhimanyu enrolls in a Master of Business Administration program in Bangalore. They continue to correspond via letters and postcards, in which she informs him that she became engaged but eventually called off the engagement. They cease speaking to one another. A few years later, Abhi visits Goa and meets Bindu. Bindu reveals to him that this is her third engagement—she had two prior ones that she also called off—and that she genuinely likes the man this time.

After being brokenhearted, Abhimanyu leaves for Mumbai, where he works in a bank, keeping in touch with Bindu. She tells him that she did not marry that man as he left when she calls him to a restaurant one day. Abhimanyu makes an effort to repair their friendship and goes above and above to meet Bindu's requirements. He loses his girlfriend because he spends so much time with Bindu. They spend more time together after she starts working as a dubbing artist, and they eventually fall in love. Bindu's ambition of becoming a singer is realized when she gets the chance, but her album is not well accepted when it is first released. Because of her failure, Bindu is upset and their connection is strained. When Abhimanyu asks Bindu to marry him, she declines, claiming she needs to find herself and is unhappy, and she departs for Bangalore. She apologizes to Abhimanyu several times and contacts him, but he never responds.

After 2 years Abhimanyu becomes a writer who writes erotic horror novels, his first novel becomes a hit. And on the day his first novel gets published he receives a call from Bindu that she is getting married. Hurt he says that he is happy for her. Few years has passed but Abhimanyu has hit the roadblock and unable to write a novel. The manager forces him to write novel quickly. Thus he takes a break and moves to his house in Kolkata. A birthday party is organised and Bindu comes to Kolkata as well. Bindu is now married to Mr.Nair and has a daughter as well. Both of them visit the place where they used to go to since they were children and start remembering their memories. Abhimanu shows her the manuscript of their love story and gives it to her and says that he doesn't want anybody else to read the manuscript as it just belongs to two of them. The film ends as Abhimanyu and Bindu dance together at the birthday party and Abhi saying that today Bindu is someone's mother, daughter in law or wife but for him she will always remain his pyaari Bindu thus "Meri Pyari Bindu".

CONCLUSION

After watching the movie, I was touched with the movie. The movie has emotions and realistic. I am also a writer ad can relate with the character of Abhimanyu. Furthermore, the climax really touched my heart. Whether you get your love or not, there is a space for that people. It depends how you take that relationship. Furthermore, the narration part of the movie is also catchy.

I don’t understand why the movie didn’t work in the box office. It has a good story, good music and nice acting of both the actors. Moreover, the audience gets connected with the characters especially with Ayushmann. I got emotionally connected with his character. When he smiled, I smiled; when he cried, I cried.  In additional to that, I went back to my childhood and remembered how much fun I had in those times. Furthermore, I do write stories and sometimes if I don’t get stories, I go back to my childhood and start writing.

In conclusion, I love the movie and acting of both the characters especially Ayushmann. This movie is one of the underrated movies and one of the watchable movies.
