PORTRAITS THE REAL SCENARIO
Recently, I watched Hindi film Kora Kagaz which was released in 1974 starring Vijay Anand, Jaya Bhaduri, A.K. Hangal, Achala and Deven Verma.
I love the concept of the movie. Movie talks about the relationship between husband and wife: how their life is effected when money is talked about. Professor Sukesh Dutt (Vijay Anand) and Archana Gupta (Jaya Bhaduri) meet each other in a chance encounter while traveling by BEST bus service in Mumbai. Their meeting again results in formal introduction to each other. Both get attracted to each other and get married. Archana's mother does not like Sukesh due to his modest income. She makes up stories about their affluence, which offends Sukesh. This results in acrimony between Archana and Sukesh, and they decide to separate. Archana goes to live with her parents, while Sukesh relocates. Archana's family asks her to forget Sukesh, and remarry, which Archana finds difficult since she still has feelings for Sukesh.
Due to Archana's mother, Sukesh Dutt and Rachana Gupta have arguments on the regular basis. Archana doesn't like her mother interfering in her married life. Her mother doesn't like Sukesh as he doesn't earn that much. This is the reason, she doesn't like him. She had a fear that he cannot fulfill her dreams so, she sends freeze and telephone at the home of Sukesh. Those are not like by Sukesh. This hurts Sukesh'es ego. Moreover, Archana's mother offends Sukesh. These are the reasons they do separate.
At the end of the story, Archana's father convinces Archana about the marriage life. He tells her that she also have a fault because if she had loved Sukesh, she could understand him and rejects the freeze and telephone. On the other hand, fault was also of Sukesh. He could also have understood him and talked with her.
While returning back form home, on the station, they meet and patch up. They realized their mistakes and fault. They patch up and have happy ending.
The movie have the message. After marriage, husband and wife should understand and cope with each other. There should be space for other people. If people interferes than married life goes in vain. Every person has their dark side but one should overcome with it. The movie shows the reflection of the married life. When there is understanding between two of them, than the house looks really like a house otherwise the house is like a hell.
I love the acting of Jaya Bhaduri and Vijay Anand. They looked nice on the movie and people can relate with the characters.
When I watched the movie, I somehow connected with today's marriage life of people. In small matter, people argue and have misunderstanding. They are not able to cope with the problem. Egos are hurt and cannot compromise and adjust.This movie portraits the real scenario of every houses. One must watch the movie.
