FOREVER IS TRUE (BOOK REVIEW)
BOOK: FOREVER IS TRUE
AUTHOR: NOVONEEL CHAKRABORTY
PUBLICATION: PENGUIN RANDOM HOUSE
‘Forever is True’ is a
novel written by Novoneel Chakraborty. It is the concluding part of Forever series.
The second book resumes where the previous book ended - Presha was pushed by
someone from the cliff at Nandi Hill where she was waiting for Saveer. Saveer
is devastated when he hears this because he has lost almost everyone on his
birthday which he feels is a curse. Little does he know that a man is after his
life and his happiness? Presha confronts Sanveer and they hatch a plan to catch
this man but in vain. Their future seems next to impossible and they call it
quits. Both are devastated by this decision but the secret person is
happy to see Sanveer in distress. On one hand, who is this person? A man or a
woman?
On another hand, Prisha doubts Saveer for pushing her to death. She
feels it is the price she pays for loving him with all her heart. When she
survives from the cliff, she has many unanswered questions. Why did Saveer attempt to kill
Prisha? Is he really who he claims to be or is there more to this mysterious
man that Prisha is yet to discover?
Although the second version is better than the first part, the book
somehow is boring. There is suspense in the novel but still I didn’t like that
much better. The suspense didn’t meet my expectation. Although there are twists
and turns, there aren’t any matters that I found interesting. The characters
are above the average. The best part is the language and the writer has written
in a simple words. Another best part is there are few beautiful lines that capture
the readers. For the language and beautiful words, I would rate the book 3/5.
