NOT SO GOOD TO WATCH
"Ishq Mein Teray" is a Pakistani drama that I recently watch. It was aired on Hum TV and was directed by Faheem Burney, produced by Syed Afzal ALi and written by Sadia Akhtar. The serial was first aired on 27 November 2013 staring Mehwish Hayat, Azfar Rehman, Madiha Imam and Shahzad Nawaz and was last aired 26 March 2014 on Hum TV. The OST of drama is sung by Sohail Haider and Dua Malik.
PLOT
Ishq Mein Teray is a story embraced in bruises of life, where there is the sweetness of love and bitterness of relationships. The protagonist Aiza, is a sensible and simple girl who is conducting her household responsibilities very well. The second important character, Sheheryar Hamdani, whose daughter Laiba is Aiza’s friend. Laiba is in love with her cousin, Saad Hamdani, who is her father’s business assistant. Aiza’s intellect draws both Saad and Sheharyar towards her.
Azia is the teacher and friend of Laiba. Laiba shares everything to Azia and Azia too shares her everything. Azia knows that Laiba loves Saad but Saad falls in love with Azia at the first sight when she comes at the home of Azia. He takes her photograph of her through mobile. He starts to think about her. And plans to propose her in her birthday. On the other hand, Azia starts to work at the office of Saad which makes him happy.
When Azia's birthday arrives, he was excited to propose her but he coughs very badly and goes to hospital and finds that he has a lung cancer. When he knows about it, he doesn't want to go to birthday of Azia but his good friend convince him to go to birthday party and goes her.
Whenever, he sees Azia, he wants to live more. So, he goes to London for the treatment. On the other hand, his uncle Sheharyar falls in love with Azia. He comes to know about her when they were in Turkey for the business. Her nature makes him fall in love with her but he couldn't express at that moment.
Later, they return back to Pakistan, he proposes her but she rejects at the beginning. But later, she has to say yes because of her brother. Her brother used to gambling and he needed 5 lakhs which she couldn't give him and people had bitten him and was in the hospital. This reason made her marry Sheharyar.
They get married surprisingly by not telling Sheharyar's family. When his family sees her as his bride, Laiba gets angry and cries a lot. But slowly, she accepts her. On the other hand, Saad gets angry. He has an illusion that she too loves him and tells her that she too loves her to but she totally disagrees and tells him that he is in illusion.
On the other hand, Cuckoo who happens to be the cousin of Sheharyar comes from America to live with him. She has divorced her husband and wants to marry Sheharyar for the properties and starts to separate Sheharyar and Azia. Not only this, when she knows Laiba loves Saad, she pretends that she is helping Laiba. At the beginning, she hatesCuckoo but later becomes good with her as Kuku has convinced Laiba that she will help Laiba.
Furthurmore, while Cuckoo and Laiba were talking about Saad, Azia listens the conversation and the next day, Azia convinces Saad to love her because Laiba loves Saad very much. When they were talking Laiba listens to them. While Saad said that he doesn't love her and not to focus him to love her and he sees Laiba. They follow her. When she reached home, there she faints because of depression.
While in the hospital, she realized the value of Azia and begins to hate Cuckoo. She thinks now it's useless to follow Saad but Azia convinces that he will surely fall in love with her. And she does that. Azia convinces Saad to fall in love. He agrees with her but he has the condition that Azia should be with him. At the beginning, she was shocked and doesn't agree but the shake of Laiba, she agrees.
Before Laiba leaves for UK, he proposes her. Laiba argues with her but later he convinces her about his love and get engaged. Although, they got engaged, Cuckoo tries to prove herself that Saad loves Azia, not Laiba. At the beginning, she didn't believe her and follows them to Turkey. At Turkey, she sees them talking and laughing which makes her believe that they are together. After few days, she returns back. When she comes alone, Saad's mother and Laiba's father gets shocked as she was supposed to come with Azia and Saad. She tells both of them about Azia and Saad which creates illusion among the family.
When they return back, Sheharyar tells Azia to get out from his life and home. Even Saad and her mother are considered to lave his house. They starts to live at farm whereas Azai lives with her brother and his family.
After few days,
Saad’s health took a bad turn & he became hospitalized. As usual he had Saim by his side & I didn’t like that Saad once again told him off saying you don’t understand a thing. If that was the case, why would Saad share things with Saim if he thought he never understood whatever Saad ever said? Hamdani family got to know about Saad’s disease right when he was on his death bed, which makes things a bit – a tinsy bit unrealistic because if someone is suffering from such a chronic disease, one member or the other gets the heed of it definitely.
Saad thought it was his duty to fix things before he dies therefore he confessed everything in front of Laiba & took a promise that she will subside the misunderstanding that was created between Aiza & Shehryar. Finally, Aiza was convinced to let go of whatever happened because Saad asked her to. Sadly, he died & took all the mishaps that the family went through with him.
At the hospital, he gives Azia a ring as his memory. While she speaks with him, he dies in the bed of hospital. At the end, Azia keeps the ring near to Saad's funeral and goes with her husband and Laiba.

CONCLUSION
The last episode wrapped up the story nicely & we are left with no unanswered questions. Everything fell into the place perfectly for sure. Whatever Cuckoo said to Saad’s mother was extremely derogatory & went to show what sort of a cheap mentality a so-called literate & sophisticated person endorsed. I wished Saad’s mother had at least slapped Cuckoo for things she said but she held herself back because she didn’t want to stop to her level.
To say the truth, although, the serial was good, I didn't like it. I didn't like the story and the characters. Its like a boring serial for me. Neither story interested me nor the characters. Laiba is average in the acting and looks like Bollywood Actress Alia Bhatta. Saad is also in the average acting. But I love the acting of Azia and Sheheryar Hamdani. Azia looks like Bollywood Actress Liza Roy and look at her acting skills. Besides them, I didn't like anyone's acting. More than others, I got irritated by the acting of Cuckoo.
So, to the people who love love story and tragedy story will love it. More than that, people who love short episode stories can love it and will enjoy it.
