LOVE IN THE MEMORY

It was dark and already 10:30pm. But he was lost somewhere else. Tania looked at him and found very strange by looking at him. She asked Karan, “Why Ameet is so strange? He remains so silence. Doesn’t speak that much.”

“You don’t understand, Tania. Some people have lots of pain in their heart but don’t express and forget their past. Sometimes, silence tells lots of things but it depends on people how they take and get it.”

Ameet used to feel guilty every day. He started remembering everything of his past and shouted “Archana.”

Some years ago......

He met her in bus stop. They both were waiting for bus. When bus came, they went inside the bus which was very crowd. He was standing meanwhile he heard the laughter of the girl. She was talking with her friends and she was smiling and laughing. Her smile made him fall in love with her. Her smile had some attraction which made him attract towards her.

Every day they met in the bus station. They started falling in love but they didn’t express their love towards each other.

One day, he planned to propose her and called her in the park. She came but didn’t anyone. She looked around and around but didn’t see Ameet. But she saw beautiful flowers in front of her. She was smiling and he turned back and saw Ameet.

She thanked Ameet for the beautiful flowers. Both sat on the on bench.Ameet felt nervous whereas Archana felt shy.

After few minutes, he lies down and proposed her. He said, “When I saw you first time with smile, I fell in love with your smile. After regular meeting, I fell in love with you. I gave my heart to you. I became yours and I want you to mine. Will you be mine? Will you hold my hands and walk with me in every steps of my life? Will you marry me?”

After hearing this, she was silent and showed her angry. She didn’t respond and went. He was upset and lying on the ground. Tears fell down. He got up and was about to go and she hugged him. And she accepted the proposal. There was big smile on Ameet’s face.

After few months, they got married. They were happily married. Ameet was very happy because he got beautiful wife.

They were planning for honeymoon. They were quarrelling for the places. But finally, they planned to go Darjeeling and planned to take their new car. Ameet wanted to take the car but Archana didn’t want to go by but he convinced and both agreed to go by car.

They were ready to move. Archana was very happy and excited. Ameet was driving the car. But both didn’t expect that this could happen in their life and change Ameet’s life.

It was about to get dark and it started to rain. Whole day, the weather was good but suddenly it started to rain. He couldn’t see anything. From another side, another vehicle was coming. He was about to turn another side but the vehicle hit the car and the car fell down.

Ameet opened the eyes and looked around and said to nurse, “Where am I? How did I come here? And where is Archana?” He tried to get up but nurse didn’t allow him to get up.

She said, “You are in the hospital. You had an accident. Local people saw you and brought you and your wife here.”

But she didn’t tell anything more and went. He wanted to see his wife. So in that condition, he went outside and asks the doctor. Doctor couldn’t say anything and took him in ICU. After taking him to ICU, the Doctor said, “We tried to save your wife but we couldn’t. We tried or level best but couldn’t. Sorry. Your wife is no more.”

After saying this, he went. There was full of tears in his eyes. He couldn’t save his wife. If he had listened to his wife, there couldn’t be accident.

She had said not to take the car but he didn’t listen her. She even had said to stay on the hotel and to go next day but he forced to go ahead in the night time although she was very scarcely.

Still now, he feels guilty that he killed his wife. He blames himself that he killed his wife. He had loved her so much that he cannot love anyone else like that. He cannot forget her. He still loves her. With her death, he is also death. Although he is alive but he feels his life is gone with his wife. 

Everyday, he used to see her photo and used to cry. He could not forget the accident. He feels very bad. He cannot concentrate on anything.  He feels very scarcely of the night because of night, the accident occurred and she died. He hates night and rain.

But his love is in the memory that's why he is not able to forget her.
