After All This Time is a novel of Nikita Singh. This
is a story of Lavanya who works in the States. Her boss irks her and colleagues
avoid her. But life is going to get different when accidentally her past demons
will present themselves in the present in the form of HIV. So she goes back to
New Delhi, her home and she cannot even tell her parents about HIV. Moreover,
Lavanya has spent the past seven years of her life running. At seventeen, she
left home to evade her father’s secret. But her dreams of a better life do not
materialize and she makes a fatal mistake that bring her back to battle the
demons of her past.
In New Delhi, she meets Shourya Kapoor. Shourya Kapoor
finds himself face-to-face with the person who had once meant the world to him.
He shares about this to Lavanya. She helps to move ahead. He must revisit his
broken past in order to make the decision that will ultimately define his
present and future. Furthermore, he and Lavanya share each and every thing with
each other but Lavanya couldn’t share about HIV. She was in fear that she will
be dying soon. She even meets Doctor but later she fears to meet the doctor.
What will happen with this relationship? Will she
able to tell about HIV?
In conclusion, the book is about friendship, love
and romance. Readers will love the characters. While reading the book, there
are some comedies in the novel. Besides, Lavanya and Shouraya Kapoor, others
characters are not that much important.
Although, some parts are boring, readers will enjoy the book.
I would rate the book 3.5/5.
