 ABOUT THE DRAMA 

Dobara is a Pakistani television series produced by Momina Duraid under banner MD Productions which is directed by Danish Nawaz and written by Sarwat Nazir. It first aired on 20^th October 2021 on Hum TV. It features Hadiqa Kiani as Mehrunisa who gets a chance to change her life after the death of her dominating husband Hidayatullah. It also features Bilal Abbas Khan, Usama Khan, Nabeel Zuberi and Sabeena Syed in privotal roles.

REVIEW

On the occasion of death of her husband Hidayatullah in his early seventies, Mehrunissa feels as a free spirit and recalls the bitter memories of her past when her dying father decided to marry her off at 16 years of age to Hidayatullah, who was 36 at the time. At the time of the funeral notices the strange behaviour of Mehrunissa who is not emotionally affected by her husbands death.

On the other hand, Mahir is a next-door care free boy who is a tennis player and in search of a job. He doesn’t get the love from his family and is fed up with his family. Furthermore, his relationship with his girlfriend doesn’t last for the long time.

In the morning, he goes to the park and there he meets Mehrunissa and they both become good friends. He, then falls in love with her who is older to him. Later, they get married but Mehrunissa’s family doesn’t accept him. On the other hand, Zameen doesn’t like Mahir working in the office. He is jealous of him and manipulates his wife. Furthermore, Durbana too manipulates Mehrunissa and his wife. Will they accept Mahir as their family part?

The story gives the message that women have full right to live their life according to their choice. They have right to choice the husband. Furthermore, widow have full right to live the life. Mehrunissa’s character shows that age is just the number and what mater is the love and pour soul. The character shows that happiness is the most precious thing in the human’s life.

Mehru begs a youngster to play with her at the prayer meeting. It’s painful to see since it displays the extent of her suffering. Her childhood was stolen from her, and she was forced to live a life she didn’t want. But she gave meaningful to her and changed her life. The role given to her was perfectly done.

SAKINA SAMO AS A VICIOUS PHUPPO  

Sakina Samo portrays a typical desi phuppo and sister-in-law who would not miss an opportunity to make fun of Mehru or anybody else in the house. Despite the fact that it is a funeral, she is only concerned with putting on a show of rituals, tradition, riches, and power.

The character of phuppo is such a nice one that you will hate her but still you will like it. I love the expressions of her especially her eyes. In between, she has the comic timing too.

BILAL ABBAS KHAN AS MAHIR 

The character of Bilal, on the other hand, is introduced. Mahir comes from a damaged home, as both of his parents divorced and remarried. Mahir has been unwanted and neglected his entire life as a result of their decision, and it shows in his demeanor. He is unemployed and irresponsible. But he starts his chemistry with Mehru as a surprise.

Because his internal discourse was fully hidden from the viewers, Mahir’s genuine objectives remained a mystery. He chose to propose to Mehru after a buddy persuaded him to take advantage of this chance to become wealthy, and, more crucially, after Narmeen made him feel useless once more!

I am a huge fan of Bilal Abas Khan. He can act any kind of role. In his drama, he talks with his eyes and without speaking he can drag you and makes fallen in love with his acting.

Overall, I love the drama. In conclusion, The story gets along pretty well as well as entertaining with Dobara. Hadiqa Kiani was not just a great singer but a great actress as well. Bilal Abbas Khan is a usual cutie-pie of the industry. Furthermore, every scene is a delight.
