Priya Sufi is a new novel written by Subin Bhattarai. The novel is a motivational story about sisters. Considering the rise in suicide rates, the author tries to address issues related to suicide. Subin Bhattarai hoped to enlighten the youths about the true aspects of living.

The novel starts with passengers traveling from Birgunj. The vehicle sumo stops at the highway of the jungle. The driver mentions that the bonnet isn’t working so one of the female passengers calls for the Scorpio. In the Scorpio, she meets the family. She couldn’t handle herself without speaking so she started with the family. While conserving with them, she was able to know that the son tried to commit the suicide because his heart was broken. So, the female passenger starts to tell the story.

The story is about Sada who was studying Master's Degree in microbiology. She lives in Budhanilkantha. She lives with her parents and she has a younger sister named Sufi. Sada is jealous of Sufi because everybody loves her. She is studious as well as beautiful. Everyone used to praise her. She made the distance with her sister. Even Sufi made the distance knowing that her sister doesn't prefer speaking.

Sada's college was just started. In college, she fell in love with Sardak. The love was one sighted. She hasn't spoken with him. She shares this with her friends Barosa, Aditi and Niyati. But one day, when she was riding her scooter, somebody follows her and she turns back. She finds Sardak.  After this meeting, they frequently met and fell in love.

After one incident, both of their life changes. What is the incident and what happens next? To know this one has to read the novel.

The novel holds the reader till the end. This time Subin Bhattarai tried out of the box. This novel tries to motivate the reader somehow. Subin Bhattarai has portrayed the novel as love as well as motivational. His writing made curious what happens next. The reader will be lost in the novel as I was lost while reading the book.

After Summer Love, Subin Bhattarai had written similar kind of books which was moderate. But Priya Sufi is a bit different than his previous.  Here in this novel, readers will find the relationship with sisters, parents, and lovers. When people have a problem, it doesn't mean one has to commit suicide but one has to fight with it is the main theme of the novel.

If I have to talk about the characters, all the characters are excellent.  Sada is an introvert and is lost in her world. She loves writing. She is jealous of her sister, Sufi. Due to this reason, she maintains the distance with her family. She only loves the surrounding of Sardak. Moreover, she doesn't prefer to forget and forgive the people. Rather than living in her present, she lives in past.

On the other hand, Sufi is extrovert. She stays to be positive and is always cheerful. She is a kind of person who forgets and forgives the people. She prefers to live in the present. That's why people love her.

Sardak is friendly. He too prefers to live in the present. He doesn't think about the future. He doesn't prefer his present life by discussing about the past and future. That's why he broke up the relationship with Sada because of her present condition.

In conclusion, I loved the novel. It touched my heart. The characters made you fall in love with them and made you hate the characters; why this character did those activities? This time Subin Bhattarai really did justice to the novel. So, I would rate the book 4/5.
