SAMJHANA , THE MOVIE THAT DEFINED TRUE LOVE AND RELATIONSHIP

Wherever I see the recent Nepali movies, I wish I was back in the 1980s. It’s because of the story, acting and music. Whenever I see the dance and music, there is no rhythm between music and dance. Furthermore, the acting of the actors, they need to improvised their acting. Soe of them is excellent in acting like Dayarang Rai, Saugat Malla, Anup Baral, Najir Hussain, Gaurav Pahari,   Khagendra Lamichhane, and Bipin Karki.

Whenever I see the recent movies, I remember old movies and wanted to know where the movie lost its charm and its chain did. Moreover, I recall old movies; there are many movies that I love to watch until now. Among them, ‘Samjhana’ is one of them.

Samjhana is a 1983 Nepali film directed by Shambhu Pradhan. It starred the first golden couple of Nepali cinema, Bhuwan K.C. and Tripti Nadakar. The film was a major hit at the box office. The music of the film, composed by Ranjit Gazmer, became very popular. Binod Pradhan was the cinematographer of the film. The movie marked the debut of actress Tripti Nadakar in the Nepali film industry.

Tripti plays both the wife and daughter of Bhuwan in the film. The film depicts the lives of people in the tea gardens of Darjeeling, India. The film starts with the song Dui Pate Suiro. The song is picturized on Bhuwan K.C. and Tripti Nadakar. Bhuwan plays the father role and Tripti plays the daughter role. Tripti asks about her mother to Bhuwan K.C. and he tells the story.  Bhuwan K.C. visits Darjeeling, There, he meets Tripti and falls in love with her. Slowly, she too falls in love with him and they fall. But slowly time changes. Tripit Nadakar suffers from Cancer. After giving birth to the daughter, her health gets complicated and soon she dies. Bhuwan K.C. looks after the daughter and never gets married.

 

This movie has everything; story, music, acting and the directorial part. After watching this movie, I became a crazy fan of Tripti Nadakar and Bhuwan KC. They had done such beautiful acting. More than the acting, the story is so simple and beautiful. The story deals with the relationship and true love. Furthermore, the movie showed the relationship between husband and wife and father and daughter. Moreover, the movie shows how the father takes the responsibility of his daughter and remembers his wife whom he never forgets. He has the memory of his wife.

I love the acting of Bhuwan K.C. and Tripti Nadakar. They have done such beautiful acting which touched the heart of the people.

Not only that, I love the songs of the movie. The songs like Gahiro Gahiro Sagar Jastai, Ke Soche Maile, Pirati Aapne Hodu Raicha, etc. This is the movie that everything should watch.
