REVIEW
"Sorry, you're not my type" is a story which revolves around a band named VAYU [Vikrant, Anamika and Yuvi]. Aditya meets Vikrant at a lounge, where he had come to enjoy the evening with his best friend Sakshi. Vikrant is a singer at that lounge and Aditya gets to know his story overnight and also about VAYU.
Vikrant, the drummer of VAYU , is a serious guy who opens up only with his friends. On the other hand, Anamika, the dancer of VAYU, has a sad past and fears ragging.
Yuvi, the lead guitarist and vocalists of VAYU and is a drug addict.
They are all freshers in college and get selected to form a band of their own to represent Rajhans College. Though Yuvi is the lead, Anamika is more popular amongst the youth and this makes Yuvi jealous of her. Since Anamika fears ragging, she hooks up with Anurag after his break-up with Sanaya, to save herself from ragging and gets trapped in a relationship which she is not interested in. They get along well and become the best of friends.
Vikrant falls in love at the first sight with Sanaya when he sees her at Delhi's metro station but is not aware that she is Anurag's ex-girlfriend and his senior too. Yuvi is in a four year long committed relationship with Kashish and both love each other to the core. Anamika always feels like having someone in her life who could love her like Yuvi loves Kashish.
CONCLUSION
The story is all about friendship. love, betrayal all the things have been depicted so nicely, it actually will introduce you to the world you to the world of reality where you can clarify yourself about the relationships, who are real and who just show off, who care for you and who just try to show that they do, who stand by you when you really need them and who doesn't get tired of giving excuses.
The book is nicely written and one of the finest novel. The language is very simple, Another good part is the good philosophical thoughts portrayed. Not only this, narration is superb and there is amazing connectivity between situations. But the title doesn't exactly suit the story as it is all about friendship. Finally, I could rate the book 4/5.
