“Summer Love” is a popular novel written by Subin Bhattarai and was published three years ago. Now, its English translation has arrived in the market. The English translation is done by Pratima Sharma.

After reading translation of the novel, I felt that Pratima Sharma has done such a good justice to the novel. Most of the English translations of Nepali books are literal and don’t quite retain the feel of the original language as Pratima has tried to capture the meaning of the sentences rather than deliver them word for word.

More than this, the languages and words are written beautifully. Although, it doesn’t retain the feel of the original language, the readers might feel bore because they know the story and just wanted to see the translation version. If the novel wasn’t written in the Nepali version, then people could love the English version and couldn’t compare with Nepali version.

Lastly, I could say that I felt as if the book was originally written in English. The translator has done a wonderful job.
